Kelly's passion for the arts began at an early age. Growing up, she was extremely involved in various art forms, from marching band to dance. These experiences ultimately led her to pursue a career in design and production.

Kelly's degree and passion lie in audio design and engineering, but she has extensive experience in all areas of technical theatre. During her time as a student at Butler University, Kelly began her freelance work with live sound engineering. She works with both solo artists and full-size bands in several venues around Indianapolis. In addition to her work with live sound, Kelly also has experience as a studio engineer, working both in a private studio in Indianapolis and a commercial recording studio in Nashville, TN.

Kelly's early career experience was as the Assistant Production Manager at the Howard L. Schrott Center for the Arts, alongside Production Manager Bram Sheckels. She managed and trained a crew of 40 student staff members in addition to routinely supervising IATSE union crew. Kelly helped oversee every aspect of production, including but not limited to lighting, sound, and scenic design, serving over 300 shows per year. The Schrott Center is a 455 seat theater located on Butler University's campus in Indianapolis. In addition to overseeing production at the Schrott Center, Kelly also helped manage 2 other venues on Butler's campus, Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall and Shelton Auditorium in addition to ancillary event support across campus.

COVID-19 and other life circumstances brought Kelly to Auburn, AL where she quickly immersed herself in the local live event industry. This led to opportunities such as overhire audio work as the local monitor engineer for Goat Rodeo with Yo-Yo Ma and lighting the Del McCoury Band. Less than 2 months after arriving in the state, Kelly joined the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center as the Production Manager of Lighting.

Kelly has recently been recognized as one of IAVM's 30|under|30 Recipients for the Class of 2023 and will be graduating with her Masters of Business Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management online from Auburn University this Spring.

Lacy School of Business Podcast Channel - lead engineer / assistant producer

A true product of COVID-19, the LSB podcast channel began as a single series, the Ethic's Series, and has expanded to include more than 3 different series. With our primary focus on safety, many episodes are recorded remotely over a Zoom call -- which presented its own technical challenges. Over time, we have been able to safely record a handlful of episodes in-person. Check out the full channel on your favorite podcast platform.
